How to Buy

1. Choosing the appropriate product

The selection is based on the interior space and the number of occupants. The standard of fresh air volume per capita in a residence is about 30 m³/h, with an air exchange rate of 1-2 times per hour.

Assume the living area is 50㎡ (about 500 sq ft), with a height of 2.5 meters, 4 occupants, non-smoking family.

1.1     Based on population and per capita air volume

Total required fresh air volume = Required per capita fresh air volume x Number of people

Example: Total required fresh air volume = 30m³/h x 4

                                                                                     = 120 m³/h

1.2     Based on air exchange rate

Total required fresh air volume = Housing area x Height x Air exchange rate

Example: Total required fresh air volume = 50㎡ x 2.5m x 2

                                                                                     = 250 m³/h

Choosing the larger volume from the calculation results. In this case, the residence requires a fresh air volume of 250m³ per hour.

2. Choosing the location of machine

We will based on the floor plan and site survey results, and consider convenience and feasibility, such as reserving space above the false ceiling, pipeline space and maintenance location, decide the installation location.

It is not recommended to install in bedrooms, study rooms, and other places that require quiet, to avoid operation noise affecting daily life.

If there has no false ceiling, or no enough space to install ceiling type machine, we would suggest wall-mounted type ERV or window-type ventilator, which suitable for 200 sq ft area.

3. Determining  supply/return position

Position of  air supply should be set at a location with better air quality. The air supply and return should be at least 1.5m apart to avoid affecting the ventilation efficiency.

4. Designing duct path

When configuring the duct, designer will find the shortest path, and avoid overly long ducts that would affect the air supply efficiency.。
